The Sacred Diary of Adrian Plass aged 37 3/4

“Feel led to keep a diary. A sort of spiritual log for the benefit of others in the future. Each new divine insight and experience will shine like a beacon in the darkness!”

I’m not really sure just how much there is in the way of “divine insight” but there are some nice little nuggets tucked away. Mostly, though, this is a very funny and entertaining tale, in diary form of a Christian journey, or at least some parts of a journey. And while it is written in Plass’ imagined other-self, there are aspects and situations in it that I think will ring true for many a Christian. It is full of the kind of faux pas, embarrassing moments and dilemmas we have all had at one time or another.

It is all told with warm wit and humour. and the diary style means it can be picke up and put down in any spare moment. Although having picked it up, you might just find it’s not quite so easy to put
down as you might expect.

This was the first of Adrian’s books I have read. It wont be the last.
